Default VS Caprice rear speaker sizes?

hey just recently got a VS Caprice and wondering if anyone knows the sizes of the stock speakers on the rear parcel shelf?
The ones in mine need replacing and id like to keep the same size and stock frames if possible.

    these are the ones here:

    Thanks

yea thanks Haydz, i did measure them myself but everyone that i spoke to about them was insisting they were 6" or 6.5", so i got pretty confused...
and ive come to realise that i cant find any after market 8" speakers in stores which sucks because i was hoping just to do a quick swap over like my front door 6" speakers. so how would i go about replacing these ones, changing as little as possible?
Im still new to this as you may have noticed. :P

jaycar sell 8" woofers that 'almost' fit. you can still put the cover on, but you'd want to trim the speaker frame a tad to get them perfect.

8" Paper Cone Woofer - Jaycar Electronics

I doubt they're a high end performance car audio speaker... but to replace busted stock units it should do the trick nicely

I asked the opinions of a few other people on those and they agreed and said yea theyll do the job. But when i went in and had a look at them and told the guy working there what they were for he said because they run at 8 ohms they wont work in my car and could wreck my amp (not that i have one as its all stock) and that i have to get 4 ohms or lower.
Is this true? Will they not work, and if they do will they gradually wreck my system like he says? Or does he just not know what hes talking about?
