vs ute handbrake

my hand brake on my vs ute only works when its rolling forward . I tried adjusting it but it still doesnt work when the cars rolling backwards.

yeah i had the same problem with my vy sedan... cause the car was under warranty and it was back at the dealer for some other work they adjusted it for me and it works ok now... still have to pull it up reasonably hard to get it to work but im not sure what they did... you might need to get a new cable cause over time they stretch and you cant adjust them anymore... id try that first and see what happens

Back off the cable all the way.
Adjust the handbrake linings at each wheel.
Re-adjust cable.
