VS Exec radio to Calais radio

Hey looking for some info regarding a stock H/U. I currently have a standard H/U If I put in an electric aerial will it still function properly like a Calais one? As in the aerial will go up and down when the radio is switched on/off and when I use my CD input?

Second question if I purchase a Calais H/U with the stacker will it plug straight in using the existing connector? What happens if I want to use my iPod? Is there something you can do at the back of the H/U?

So basically can I put a Calais H/U into my VS S is the question and will an electric aerial function on an exec standard H/U

I have a VS exec with the standard radio/cassette player,It has no electric aerial fitted,so doesnt have the aerial up/down buttons etc.And looking at the VS wiring diagrams, it also depends on which BCM (Body Control Module) you have.Theres low, medium and high level BCM's.The medium and high BCM controls the power aerial,but if you have a low series BCM,theres a seperate module called the power aerial module that controls the power aerial.So you would need to fit the aerial up/down buttons to the dash,and the power aerial module if you have a low series BCM.Or just the aerial up/down switches with the medium or high BCM's.

Their just like any other normal manual type radio aerial,put it at any height you want it at.
