    Default 1997 VS Ecotec...

    Hey fella's i have a 97 VS Ecotec, when im doing say about 100km and flat foot it, it will change down to 2nd.. i also did this at around 110 and it STILL changed back down to 2nd..

    What im wanting to know is this normal??

    Just curious thats all

    Yes. from what I understand it is called kick back (down).

    Called "kick down" - the purpose is to provide maximum power instantly....revs may increase from 2000 to 4500rpm in a split second but that's the revs the maximum power is at.

    Well You Can get about 130KMs out of Second Gear, So Its normal Bud, Even my VX Does it, Takes off like a rocket lol, Well no not really, makes alot of noise lol
