VS GTS I.D help and info..

I would like some info If I can on what to look for when buying a HSV GTS.
Can someone provide some details specifically what tag numbers I should look for to identify if it's genuine.
i.e- vin numbers
engine numbers
Paint,trim,eng,trans,axle etc..
If someone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

HSV should have ID plates in the engine bay from memory beside the usuals
