Probably need to clean out the throttle body and the IAT (input air temperature) sensor. Also check your air filter to make sure it's not blocked.

Definitely check for leaking fuel injectors, the hard starting and black smoke on startup are classic signs of leaking injectors.

Could also be a faulty distributor or coil, as unburnt fuel and hard starting can be associated with that also...but check injectors first as they are the easiest to eliminate and get to...

Hay all thanks for the help but now I have another problem iv had the injectors done it starts and runs great no smoke but now it has a miss but only when u flatten it free revs no problem and don’t miss a beat but when u flatten it driving down the road it starts to get a miss at 3 thousand revs and onwards once driving at 90ks it runs smooth as but when its under load it seems to miss any help would be much appreciated it has had the injectors replaced new Map sensor and new TPS its getting new plugs and leads on Sunday its seems electronic as the taco jumps a little when it misses

If the tachometer jumps when it's missing I would be suspecting either the coil and/or the ignition module.

If its under load that it misses, i would tend to think dizzy cap. But its one of those magical faults that could be anything, I would tend to think its electrical and would try the following. Hall sensor, dizzy cap, spark plug leads, spark plugs, coil, dfi module.
For purly a money saving thing start with the cheaper stuff; Spark plugs, leads, dizzy cap and coil. If you get to the hall sensor its probably easier to buy a whole dizzy. If you have a friend sowhere with a efi304, swap the dfi's over to see if that helps the problem before shelling out for one.

Good to hear you have solved the problem, although I don't see why anyone replacing injectors would have gone anywhere near the distributor cap. It's difficult to get to at the best of times.
