    Thumbs down VR brake problems!!

    hi guys,
the brakes on my VR are starting to feel really spongy.
i have got all four disks machined including new pads and full bleed. They still feel spongy?
i have pulled the reservoir apart and all is good.
any suggestions on what is causing this problem would be much appreciated

    Air in the system.
New pads not yet bed in.
    Faulty master cylinder.

I'd bleed them again. Commodore brakes don't always have hard pedals but it shouldn't feel spongy. Other causes may be flexible brake hoses failing (expanding) or those mentioned by RX25SE especially the faulty master cylinder although if this is bad the pedal will eventually go to the floor if kept depressed.

Yeah The I have trouble when going from the VR to VX, Use the same pedal pressure in the VX as the VR and you lock up compared to a easy stop in the VR lol.

You say you've had the discs machined.Ive noticed that when they machine these VS brake discs,(especially the fronts),it gives the pedal a longer travel and poorer braking performance than before.New discs are that cheap thesedays, its just better to replace any worn discs with brand new ones.
