can you get a non powered steering rack for vr ??

Short answer: no. You can run the rack without power assistance but it will soon fail as it needs the lubrication from the oil. Maybe on a bush-basher you could fill the rack with grease but the steering would be very heavy.

I once heard that the manual VL racks fit these.

I also manualised my VT rack and its pretty good from first impression, the variable gearing makes it quite easy

thanks guys , was hoping to swap it out for a quik rack , sans all the pump n shit :/ ,,oh well off the the auto shop for a seal kit

VR has a wider track then the VL so a power steering rack won't be interchangeable.
