Default Number 7 Fuse Melting Under dash

hey guys my vr has developed a problem,

The stereo has been wired to run through fuse 7 (power door locks/stereo). yesterday the stereo stopped working so i replaced the fuse which was blown.
once i did this smoke started coming out from behind the fuse box and the new fuse stared melting, i pulled the fuse before it could do any real damage. can any one help with this problem? i need some tunes back with out the risk of burning alive

there is a problem with one of those componants, try cutting the power to one componant and see if it still blows, if not than you know where the faulty electrics are, it shouldn't be your radio as it has its own fuse, there will most likely be a wire thats rubbed through the insulation and is shorting out

sounds like a bad connection at the fuse holder.

need to bypass it with a external fuse holder.
