vr gearbox question pleas help
hey all have a few q's in regards to the box in my vr wagon
ive put another motor in as the last one was cooked, the motor is out of a vp
now i just cant seem to get the box to slip onto the dowels and line up its doin my head in
are there any differences between the vp-vr boxes??
any help much appreciated as i need to get the car up and running asap for work

Just make sure the torque converter is fully home in the bellhousing and mated otherwise it sits out proud about 25mm. You should be able to feel if it's mated by rotating the TQ.
