Hey guys n gals I'm doing some upgrades to my acclaim... Dorsey I'm doin a 5 speed conversion...I'm doin roller rockers n valve springs,, shaving the heads 10 thou,, porting n polishing the heads, extractors a 100 cell hiflo cat, and 2 1/2 stainless system, now what I want to know is what cam would be best in your opines.. I don't want anything to crazy though.. I'll be gearing a 70mm tb and blue vt injectors which will be one a custom fuel rail with a rising rate regulator, being fed from a intank pump into a surge tank. My second question is what pumps would be best and how big of a surge tank and will blue vt injectors be big enough, I will be getting either a chip or after market ecu. Which would best? Any other tips welcome thanks in advance
talk to whoever your buying your Roller Rockers from and get a package, obviously you dont want high ratio RR with a cam.
A 3inch is that practicual and no where has em in rockhampton gotta order em... I had a stainless system on vp and loved it....
a Walbro intank pump would be more than sufficient without the surge tank...or if you use the surge tank use the intank pump to fill it and use a Walbro or Bosch 044 external to pump from there but its a bit of overkill for what you plan...rising rate reg is ok though...you need to check if the VT bluetops will work with your memcal...from memory the standard blacktops are high impedance and the bluetops are low impedance or visa versa and will need the memcal recalibrated to suit and anyway you'll be changing the memcals from auto to manual so send off the manual one to get done before you do the exchange that way it will be there ready for when you do...
I'm planning a forced induction route now so the fuel side will be heaps lol just gotta look into a few more things
