Need urgent help, fuel pump quick disconnect?

I'm trying to change the fuel pump. Can someone explain how the quick disconnect return hose works?

If it's like vt, push the connection further on then while still pushing, push-in the little 2 tabs the pull away while still pushing on the tabs. Make sure to depressurise the system first; take fuel pump relay out then turn car on till it stalls
