    Default Transmission Mount

    Hi Guys.

I Have had the the Engine Mounts in the VR, But im still getting some vibration at idle. not the engine running rough as you can sit a glass of water on it.
Now how hard is it to replace the transmission mount ? Do i just use a jack to get the weight off the mount then just remove and replace ? Not real Sure atm.

    cheers

I also encountered such problem months ago and find a bit difficulty. But a buddy from other forums told me it's straight forward..you only need two floor jacks, rubber sealant, pieces of hard wood, pry bar and hammer..oh before i forgot there is a manual on how to replace a transmission mount. I just neglect it on the garage. I'll just upload it to this thread as soon as i got it back...

It requires removal of the rear crossmember as well so as to get to the rear mount. Allow a few hours and don't put the jack under the transmission pan.

Sure thing it can be done without removing the rear crossmember, however the workshop manuals say to remove the rear crossmember (Elleys, Haynes and Gregorys) so that's the advice I give.

Interesting cause iv read a few things its just Put car on ramps, take the weight of the trans, then just undo 4 bolts then the mount comes out, think ill just run the car up on the ramps first and have a lookie first lol
