Hey whereabouts is Ace exhaust (can't find a website)?

And in regards to lowering, anyone who has a lowered VS I am after the model number of springs (if you have king springs) and possibly any pics of your car?

    cheers, Killer

fellas, if u want cheap, just cut like, a coil/1.5 off the top of your spring. i did it for my mates vr, it worked great!! looks mad, and took out that commodore boat handling (don't say its not there lol) lots of people say shit about how bad it is, but its no different to putting in a lowered spring, they aren't held in at full droop either, unless you get shorter shocks, which would fix the cut springs problem too.

thats crap. i'v been pulled over plenty of times in cars with cut springs (lol, yeh it's my thing) and i'v never been picled for that. the thing is, short of pulling the spring out, the boys in blue have absolutely no way of knowing that it was cut.

    Default lowering

    Hi all,

Just wondering, when lowering your Commodore (VS) there is more to than just getting the springs, arent you suppose to also get a camber kit? I know stuff all about lowering so thats why I'm asking.

    thanks.

when you lower your car you should get shorter shocks aswell. If you have IRS you need a camber kit....

They may not be able to spot it from looking but if you need your car inspected your gone and it voids your insurance.

so get a set of stockies, and swap em in for those eventualities.. lol. if u really want to do it it's feasible. but yeh if u got the cash, then it's easier to just buy ones.

thats the stupidest thing in the whole bloody world. if you have a crash, u WONT be able to swap them = no insurence. And plus, its f*cking unsafe. do you think they made it illegal just because they want you to support you local pedders, its because the springs are disigned and fabricated in way that is ment to be kept the same!!! I dont really car, if your going to be that blatently stupid, u may as well smash your car, the only bad thing is that is a perfectly good waste of a holden!

hey you got any side on pics with the lowering? I'll probs just head down to a local joint and see what kings springs they recommend (don't want to go to low as to scrape or anything or illegal)

Then may I ask the question... What the hell are you doing in a VR-VS thread??? Doesn't make sense to me that your telling us all about your life when you should be on the old car website...

On a different note, the serial numbers for the king springs can be found on their website, www.kingsprings.com.au, go for the superlows, they're still legal but nice and low
Havent got any photos of mine that I can show u tho sorry

    Good luck buddy
