    Default cold air intake

    hi everyone

    i just bought a cold air intake for my vs commodore and i don't notice any difference in the performance of my car i'm sure i installed it right. any ideas on what i have done wrong.. also how many kw are you supposed to gain??

    the differnce is between 80 and 100 k's there is a slight improvement in pick up wait a week if you run around at those speeds and have a look at teh fuel gauge.

    most "fuel economy" mods take a full tank of petrol for the computer to adjust to.

    After installing my CAI, a couple of tanks later, i have a V6 ecotec, stock as it comes, and I'm now getting average 10.1 Ltr/100km. Mind you i do a lot of freeway driving.

    The "power" mod of adding a CAI is at BEST a couple of kW??? and I doubt you will feel that small of a power increase in your car.

    Well I have a K&N on mine I reckon the big difference is fuel economy but Ive also heard it will contribute when u put bigger throttle body, exhausts and other mods etc...
    Your not trying to prove your better than anyone else, your just compensating for other little problems...

    dont waste ur time with the super 6 cai, ive had it and hated it, got the mace one and loved it

    Now Saving for a Harrop HTV2300 Supercharger kit!

    Expensive conversion isnt it? Probably better of buying a vx ss or sumfin...

    It's not really about the cost more the wtf factor when you pop the bonnet and go hey that's not factory.

    If u open the bonnet of ur vr and they see a 6L v8 sitting there i think it will be a bit of a suprise lol but yes you do have to have deep pockets
