    Default Level 3 cluster features

    Hi all,
Done a search can`t be putting in the right words.
I am sure there was a thread that tells you how to change settings on the cluster.
I think that I have changed the fuel tank size as I seem to be getting wrong fuel useage figures.
Say cluster says used 35l but at the fuel pump it said 45l.
The readings have always been spot on and I always fill up at the same pump.
Can someone please tell me the different things you can do with this cluster.
    Cheers Pete

there's the fuel tank size switch on the back of the cluster for the different size factory tanks, if you can get ahold of a calais or berlina factory manual it states in it how to recalibrate it.

Level 3 clusters give you "dist to emty, odo meter, over speed, inst fuel use(per 100km),average speed, average fuel use, dist travelled,2 other reading too but i cant think of them.
Every level 3 cluster equipped car should have a bizzo just left of the cluster which will have "Trip Computer" and will have 4 buttons, Mode Set and up and down arrows. Simply hit mode with the car on and it'll flick through them all.
To reset them (execpt ur odo meter) push and hold mode then push set and release them both

To change the settings, on each of the three screens, just hold the set key down and it will allow you to change some of the settings.
I think tank size is on the avg fuel usage screen.

Keep holding the set button and arrow up or down to change the values.

On the rear of the cluster there is a small switch for changing between fuel tank sizes, make sure you have the correct one set.

And do you know how to set the zero on the fuel calculation? Perhaps a previous owner set a 10L reserve on it, hence the reason it thinks its got 10l less than it does.

There is a section on setting fuel tank zero in your owners manual (i think) otherwise someone here will be able to post a copy of it.

hold down the mode and set buttons(or is it the two arrow buttons?) while turning the key and it comes up in diagnostic mode. gives you a voltmeter and digital speedo amongst other things that are probably never helpful.

Factory settings are 625 for fuel flow and distance. Tank size can be changed to suit you.

The third calibration number is the tank size. The VN wagon has 68Lt tank so I added a few Lts to get it right. If you set fuel flow and distance first you can play with the tank size to suit your needs. Do you run a 5lt reserve? - or none.
