    Default blue dash lights

hey all, seen a blue dash light kit on ebay and was thinking of grabbing one and converting my 98 vs ute to blue dash lights. the kit includes blue lights for the dash, key light and auto shifter lights. i was wondering if they end up looking as good as they do in the picture, how hard is it to do yourself and would it even work because my understanding was that the current lights are white and that theres a green film that makes the green light.
    feedback appreciated
    cheers, brandon.

you get used to the needles but you can take off the orange and white from the needles and repaint them just white, works sweet.

how do you get the orange off? just scrape it off? and do they still glow or light up after you paint them white?

Replacing the globes is pretty easy, but if you do the needles you need to take apart the cluster, which is couple of screws and a few clips.

To change globes just remove the dash surround, undo the 2 screws holding cluster in, and it pulls out. Then replace globes and put cluster back in. Test that they are in the right way before putting it all back together

stock globes are just halogen T10s so its white/yellowish

the custom fascias on ebay are designed to be used with stock globes, so dont need to replace them

id keep stock fascia with blue lights and just do needles white, i think people who have gotten custom fascias are having trouble with patchiness.

Because my ute is green and i didn't want to get green bulbs (globes for you ozzies lol) because green bulbs would give a washed out colour, i just repainted my my needles green. They look good during the day and glow at night.
