hi guys i recently blew my head gaskets my mech at rvo performance wants to replace it with a 110thou cometic mls head gasket
at first he said its going to drop compression to 7.5.1 ?? some where around the 7's, tim at raptor s/c told me for a supercharged set up low comp is no good as it will kill power and recomended that i leave it at the current compression of 9.5.1 i was confused so i rang around abit half said lower compression but most said keep normal compression as it will kill power, i called back and told dave he then said it would probably only drop to around 8.7... ? compression he rekons he got that after calculating it, his argument was that its safer for my car and that later on i could run more boost.
mikes dyno tuning in dandy were the tune will take place recommended high 8's for compresion which was in between everyones advice
i was wondering if anyone could shed some light for me as to what compression i should put it to without losing too much power the supercharger will set up at around 9-11 pounds ( powerdyne superchager )
and how much the compression would go down to with 100thou head gaskets
THANKS i know its bit of a read
going supercharged with comp pacies and 3inch exhuast
