VS Commodore Struts

Hi,

Just put new struts in commodore wagon, standard springs and struts
Noticed on both sides a gap (app. 8 mm) between support plate and locating washer,

everyrthing is the same except for new locking nut which may have been 1-2 mmm thicker thane the old one

Any comments would be appreciated

I just pulled out one of my front shocks the other night, however I have pulled it apart now so couldn't tell you.

The other side is still in. That will be taken out in a few days if you still want me to check.

Just on a side note, your old shock - does it extend by itself (no load) all my other shocks do, except for my old front ones.

if I fully extend old strut in a verical posotion it slowly retracts, if I fully compress it extends a bit
