Default M90 supercharger bypass valve question

Hey guys I've got a very similar setup to the ecotec on my vp commodore with a eaton m62 charger just wondering if at the front of the manifold between the charger can I attach a blow of valve or when I back off the throttle does the boost recirculate through the bypass valve? I'm thinking I could block it off so it boosts earlier and will blow boost out the poop poop valve when I take foot of the throttle but not really sure? Cheers

The bypass valve is exactly that, it usually uses a diaphragm to open/close the valve depending on manifold pressure, looks pretty much like an internal wastegate on a turbo.
I guess you could plumb a BOV in and it should work, but it would perform the same function, just give you a stupid noise under the bonnet.

i think you would find that if you replaced the bypass valve with a BOV that when you shut the throttle the vacuum created would open the BOV and it would suck air, and then rev up uncontrollably. unless you had a mega spring in there and then it would only blow off under big rev liftoffs, and also put premature wear on the charger being under load all the time.

Lol stupid noise under my bonnet, haha yeh I wouldn't mind abit of 'show' I was under the impression that if I made it stay closed I could make the boost go out the bov, the hardest part would be to fit it between the manifold and charger, I would really love to get a boost divert plate to run a cooler and bov but as of yet I havnt found one because I am pretty sure they are different then the m62 that I have.

If the bypass valve is not closing properly then boost will be recirculating through the charger
