Default VS Caprice Self Leveling Suspension

I think I posted this a while back, so will post it again.. hope ok

A while ago, the standard air self leveling suspension in my VS Caprice died. One of the shocks popped and the compressor burnt out running all the time to pump it up. Dopey me.

Anyhoo after MUCH looking about, I simply could not get a new paid of air shocks for the VS, but the compressor was still available, as it is still in use in the more recent models.

So to the question. Has ANYONE located original/replacement air shocks for the VS? I put pedders/kyb in it, but miss the old comfier ride and cool way the boot lifted when i threw things in the back

Or has anyone researched a replacement? Airbag suspension does not do it for me. Cheers

I figured you would have tried Holden but just making sure. Just looking on the Monroe site and according to that the part number for the rear air shocks is the same for VS,WH and WM, so the WH shocks should fit. I bought mine from Holden for $150 each.

Just get rid of it all and put a camber and caster kit in it with some good springs and shocks, cheaper and better. If your worried about load carrying then throw some poly air bags in for some back up support.
