a few months ago i punched a hole in my orginal block. so i replaced the engine. all was well for the test drive and then my gear box started slipping.
it turns out one of the hoses was leaking, so i topped it up. this didnt fix the problem. it wouldnt change til 3500 revs every, and it slowly got worse til it changed at 5500 revs. so i assumed i cooked the tranny.
so i hammered it til the engine started making noises, and changed the engine and orginal box with another engine and gearbox that i hadnt pulled apart. i though beauty, the problem would be solved. turns out i was wrong. i then replaced the computer, and its still changing at 5500 revs.
i am lost for what to do, and i really dont want to take it off the road as it was a present and a first car.
Could well be....usual cause is the TPS. Hope the auto is still OK!!
