Ok so to turn my immobilizer off I gotta turn my key on and off 3 or more times and press the unlock buttons the same wats goin on? How can I fix it
Maybe the battery in the key fob is going flat,or there could be a problem with the BCM (Body Control Module). You can try disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a minute or two which should reset the BCM.High level BCM's can be reset by removing the fuel pump fuse for one second. The fuel pump fuse is located under the bonnet in the fuse box.
Could also be the key not making proper contact with the key reader which is that metal ring thing around the ignition keyhole - it must contact the metal lump above the key when you insert the key - when the two touch they basically shake hands and say "all OK". The 2 small screws in the fob/key must also be tight.
If the key remote still unlocks the doors, the battery should be OK.
