Has any1 converted a series II or III stat'o to a manual

Reason i ask is i have a series 3 stato center console but it needs to be modified to suit my 5speed equiped car. Just need to see how its done

just cut the auto stuff out then get some plastic and make it up to fit, or just cut down the factory manual console to fit in the hole
