    Default Vent switch not going from fresh to recirculate (VR SS)

    when i turn the dial to recirculate it stays on fresh how do i fix this? it is a normal a/c control not climate control

    it's the vacumme dial behind the control panel, you can buy a new one from holden costs like $10 you just have to pull the control panel out and replace the bit at the back where the hoses go.

    the dial might just be loose also, just try pushing hard on it. see if it clicks in

    Every thing works like window feet hot cold and fresh its just when you go to recirculate that doesn't work

    Just to confirm, when you spin the dial you hear the air pressure change vents to open and close the correct ones? Because a while back my dial was stuck to 'face', and all it was under the hood there is a hose connected to this black 'air ball' which is located in the front corner of my bumper (bout the size of a baseball-ish). The hose simply come unstuck as it became brittle from old age. I just cut an inch off the end of the hose and replaced (added some tape for security) and it now works a treat. Dont know if this will be an issue for you, as yours is only the recycle setting...

    Same happend in an my old vs ute...took the switch out(cleaned it out) replaced all vacume hoses underdash and eng bay and jobs was done . My prob was when i put the foot down a tiny bit the vents would close and reopen) a good clean out and new hoses should bring it back to good if it isnt the switch itslef,,,best of luck in getting a fix....cheers
