trac control fault lights

hi just have a problem with my calais had the trac control and abs fault lights come on and also lost my power steering for a few minutes then lights went out and car went back to normal for about half an hour or so and then proiblem reappeared anyone have any ideas would be very gratefull

May be a control unit fault causing the CAN (the network the computers use to communicate) to drop out. From memory its usually the ABS control unit that plays up. This causes most of the dash warning lights to come on and the Air Con to drop out. The fault will not usually log a code so a scan tool won't pick it up.
