Default What will happen if I drive with a stuffed cam bearing for a week?

I am getting a new motor on wednesday because my cam bearing is wrecked but I need to get around till then. What will happen to my car if I drive it like that for about 4 days?

On the flip side - what happens if it blows halfway to work? - do you lose pay, your job or do you have a good boss...and if it's raining cats and dogs, and you mobile has a flat battery or you've run out of credit, and it causes the motor to seize and this screws the transmission, or the distraction as it fails causes you to lose concentration and drift to the wrong side of the road where there just happens to be a B double.....
But being realistic, I'd do like Brett_jjj says.....take it easy.

lol funny hako, have a good boss and still get paid, transmittion is screwed too lol yeah il take it easy, i think its going to be ok until i go to come onto the highway and have to speed up to 110km/h is such a short space... well we will see what happens tomorrow... just boaught a vr sedan for $500 unreg but runs well hopefully can get it changed over by xmas, quoted $500 to pull 2 motors and transmittions and put the sedan set back into mine... then going to tow the sedan back to mine and strip the stuffed motor and transmittion plus the sedan and sell the parts on ebay... gone from the min price on all parts and should end in a few weeks $100 more than i started and a fixed car

Sounds good and I hope it all goes to plan.

Being the pessimist I am I like hako's response. Keep some cash on hand for towing and taxis.
edit: whoops. Hope the heart transplant goes well tomorrow. Best wishes to the patient!

Does not seem to be all that bad if it was ok on the freeway. Might just be the Harmonic balancer?
