Thanks jb4u. But it still doesn't identify an SS ute as a real SS. Could be the correct coloured series 111 ute tarted up. Thanks for your efforts.

the id plate wont tell you if its a v8 ss,it will tell you were its made ,enginesize,what state it was made and so on...to find out if its a true vs s3 v8 you will need to contact holden>>>>goood luck

Contact holden and thay will give you the details of what on your vin plate.......normally holden are pretty good with helping owners with vin plates. Give em a go and see how you go...best of luck
