    Default Got a new master Cylinder/Booster Now more problems

    I Go to undo my old booster/cylinder it has 2 lines only going to it its 97 vs berlina.. i went to the wreckers and all the vs ones there had 3 brake lines going to it now im home i cant work out where a brake line is. p.s i think i have a vn type booster? its a steel booster and master cyl to suit? what the hell?

    2 lines = ABS - 3 lines = not ABS I think

    I may be wrong on that tho

    just went to nbs the local brake and clutch supplyer. vs commodore sedan uses 2 types of abs system. and 2 types of brake booster and master cyl combos. so rare (eg. the one i have) when u ask for a vs brakebooster and or master cyl anywere they give u the plastic booster and the 3 line master cyl. not the steel brake booster. or the 2 line master cyl

    I think the 3rd line is simply blanked off...but not 100% sure.

    Nah totaly different master cyl. and its on a steel single diafram booster.

    What I was getting at was that on the VS master cylinder, the 2 port MC is just a 3 port MC with one port blocked/blanked off for when the ABS is fitted. I priced a new MC....$295!!

    sorry. should have been more specific. it's a different mc. lines in different positions. have 2 large. threads. not small and large as on the usual cylinder. mines a 97 berlina. it's the same mc on a vr with abs ( except the vr has one large an one small fitting. not two large fittings and a different bracket system)

    would have to agree 3 lines (two fronts one rear) non abs
