Default How to put lowered coils in front!!!!!!

just wondering how to remove the old springs on my VR and put the new ones in..
i attempted to have a go but the top bolt on the strut in the engine bay just would not come undone

do i have to undo everything connected to the strut and pull the whole suspention setup out to change the coil?

    pictures would help greatly

    cheers

    Search and ye shall find...

    VS strut removal

Then you need to clamp/compress the spring, remove the strut top and reverse the entire process.

    Good luck...

Just remove the strut from the vehicle, fit spring compressors to the spring and tighten them just enough to take the load off the top nut, and then undo the top nut, and then remove the spring.Spring compressors can be bought cheaply at places like supercheap etc.It can be dangerous to try to remove them without the use of spring compressors. .

get a big #### off bit of steel piping and slot it over the wrench for extra leverage if everythin else u need to do is done and the nuts stuck, spray it with wd40 too

a rattle gun will do the trick. i had he same problem with one of mine just took it to bob jane asked them nicely if i could use the rattle gun for a sec and bob's your uncle came off straight away. I have done a few spring changes now and i alway loosen the top bolt just a little before i touch anything and i havent had a drama since. Others may not do the same or think that is right but that is just may little trick.
