Modding a v6 vr

Ok so I've set a list of parts n mods for my vr, it's getting converted to a 6 speed manual, the heads are getting ported and flowed, the heads and intake will be polished and match ported, I'll alsobe doing a cam and rocker upgrade, all this will be accompanied by bigger injectors and a tune, now I'm thinking of going bigger valves, do u guys think this is a good idea also anything else use would do

Have you already got:
* a cold-air intake?
* extractors & cat-back 2.5" exhaust?
* upgraded rods (forged), pistons (forged) & bearings (race)? Whether going forced induction or not.

I'd suggest upgrading your fuel-lines too, as some of the fuel coming out these days now has ethanol in it, which WILL chew your existing lines out, and cause the car to run like CRAP.

What ratio diff do you have? Remembering, 3.08:1 is the standard fitment on most Commodores. Upgrading to a 3.45 or 3.46 LSD will give you faster acceleration, and with a 6sp box, you should still have a top speed near 300km/h (theoretical for standard manual Commodores IF they were to pull to redline in 5th).

I would also be careful with what you do... make sure you replace the bolts hanging on to everything! The VR V6 motors are well-known for throwing bearings (I know first hand from 3 motors), so make sure it is 1,000% secured (I'd suggest an ARP solution if possible). Also, IF it is possible, to add another 2 bolts to the mains / journals, just to add bottom-end strength. This may cost to get done, but, it would be well worth it in the end! (Always good to have a bottom-end that is nearly 'bullet-proof'!)

Apart from the cold-air induction, just about everything else would also have you ready for any possible forced induction path in future, should you decide to go down that path. =)

Gives me a few actually I found a 5 speed supra box conversion everything I need including brand new clutch for 1350 so I jumpedon it
