Default Will a vt speed ajustable whiper switch/stalk fit into a vs that has 1speed int mit

MY INTERMIT WHIPERS ONLY GO AT 1 SPEED...I WAS WONDERING AS MY VS UTE IS A LATE 1998 (MY VT BERLINA IS 1997 AND I CAN SPEED THEM UP OR SLOW THEM DOWN FROM THE STALK) I WAS THINKING THAT JUST MAY BE THE 1998 UTE IS WIRED FOR SPEED AJST INTMIT WHIPERS AND HSV OPDED OUT AND PUT 1 SPEED IN TO SAVE SOME CASH??? CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THE VT ONES MENTIONED ABOVE WILL FIT A 1998 SERIES 3 MALOO....I HATE THE SLOW SPEED OF THE PRE SET ONE IN THE UTE.....ANY IDEA WOULD BE GREAT...HAVE A GREAT XMAS

I don't know if it will fit but it is not the stalk that gives you variable speed wipers, you need a compatible BCM as well.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

Is will the bcm handle the vt stalk? Just maybe thay cheaped out by putting in a cheaper stalk....im not sure...but thanks a heap any way. If you know any more please let me know

i have a VS calais wiper stalk and it has the exact same plug as the exec stalk. the only extra wires (Coming from the dial to change int. speed) are an extra plug that comes out the side.
Those 2 wire normally plug into the HIGH bcm of the calais. so if you dont have a HIGH bcm already installed... it can't work.

BUT... in saying that... i'm pondering an idea of making a small module that goes between the LOW/MID series bcm's and the wiper motor, so you can plug the calais int. wiper stalk into that, and have it "modify" the signal to the wipers and give you adjustable speed.... but it's not very high on my priority list at the moment...

It would probably be a MID... same as my S-Pac... You can check if you un-button your lower dash panel (Using your car key) that is under the steering wheel. (3 half turn clips and the panel will hinge down)

The look up above where your right knee would sit, and the BCM is hidden behind an plastic duct that feeds air to your drivers door... it will say on the BCM what it is.

Variable intermittent wipers need the high level BCMs. They will not and cannot work with anything less. Will need a Berlina or Calais wiring harness and BCM putting in.
