hey i heard that when you get your windows tinted that the tint doesn't stick to the little black dots all around the windows. is this true?
Not true, mate, I've had three Commodores tinted that had the black dots, it's not a problem. I think many of the new cars have those dots, don't they? Anyway all you'll see if you look REALLY close is tiny little air pockets around them, and I mean TINY/nearly unnoticable.
'Ah well, I suppose it had to come to this.'
alright sweet thanx mate
The tint may not adhere to the black dots as well as the clear part of the windows so they may begin to peel if the car gets very hot inside. If your tint is under warranty the tinter will look after you, mine did anyway so its not really anything to be worried about.
I noticed the air bubbles around the black dots when I had my VS done but it was barely noticeable (although a lil annoying for the perfectionist) and did not affect the tint.
had my tint done and tint started lifting where the black dots are not nice for the looks they fixed it up but still not 100percent happy
some people do have problems with it peeling/bubbling, obviously the dots are raised, so the tint sticks to the dots rather than the window
soo worth getting or give it a miss lol?
awesome thanx mate =D
When you pick the car up from the tinters (so before the moisture dries up) press the tint down hard around the dots. This seems to reduce the air bubbles.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
