it was a really good car with power n smooth running engine
after the gas has been installed around 20,000ks
all these weird things started happening to the car its currently on 230,000ks on the clock
everyone knows for a commodore v6 its not even that much
then it started stalling, gas converter backfired, airbox blew up
now it doesnt matter if its on petrol or gas. it stalls whenever the revs are low on Reverse or Drive.
whenever i stop at the lights or round abouts. i have to apply brakes n keep the revs high when im stopped and still rev it always above 1000rpm or it stops
i have changed the following things
gas converter gaskit
retuned
sparkplugs gapped
thermo stat
water pump
throttle position sensor
i really ran out of ideas.. -.-
please someone give me n idea
remember its not only doing it on gas its on fuel too
so im guessing its ENGINE related?? i dont know
any ideas would be great, thanks guys
What gap are the spark plugs? I use the supercharged engine spark plugs (1.1 mm) in my dual-fuel V6 and it never misfires on LPG.
hi you need to check that all small hoses under throttle body are still connected they blow off after back fires
i know duel fuel is a problem but i dont think its the problem, it doesnt backfire and blow up on petrol
the stalling part is what im concerned about. its scary when the car turns off and ur trying to turn..
the error code came up with throttle body postion sensor. ive changed it the 3rd time it hasnt cleared the code?
all hoses are in no leaks etc
so i should go with the supercharged gaps?? which supercharged one, from a vs or vt?
did you check the codes on the tps as you have have stuck the incorrect one on it, 3 times
might sound silly but did you clear the code after changing the sensor? You could also try just cleaning the MAF sensor as well.
