Hi all have a VR the radiator is leaking on the side tank , no plit or holes just where it joins onto the side of the core any way of fixing or is it a new one.
The plastic side tank will be splitting - pretty common. Only real fix is a new radiator - prices start at ~$100 on Ebay for the cheapies which seem to be OK....I've had one of these for 2 years now.
Don't leave it for long as the pressure will blow the side of the tank out and you will have NO coolant and a very hot engine.

ok thanks they should of left them like the old HQ metal last for ever no this plastic shit hey.
you can get the copper core brass side tanks for vs commodores just 3 times the price . upside is they will last alot longer. genuine ally with plastic side tanks seem to last alot longer than after markets
yeah genuine ones are better but cost well over the $150 you pay for aftermarket. Might be worth paying the money if you plan to keep the car for a few years, I bought a NATRAD i think it was and the core sprung a leak after about 18 months.
