hey parants vr wagon 1993, wen u lock it with key (2 different keys) it atomaticly unlocks straight away
wat would cause this? you can however lock it manually and it will stay locked but yeh with key just unlocks itself automaticly straight away
im thinking bcm? hope not
all locks seem free so i dont think its sticking
cheers
might be the cable that connects to the underside of the door handle has jammed or the central locking motor is dicki on the drivers door
It may be the inners of a keyhead playing Up ??it may only be the 1 key playing up,,,,take 1 key to were it wont to anything, then test each key away from the other as it may be the same key relocking because its next to the one your testing.if both keys when tested are the same its not a keyhead.....just a starting point good luck

It sounds like one of the lock actuators has failed, and is not fully locking - this will make the doors unlock. I would wind all windows down (to allow access to the snipper button), then shut all doors. Press the lock button and watch the movement of each snipper as it is drawn down by the actuator....look for one that is either sluggish or doesn't travel as far - this one could be the offender. I'd also try (with car unlocked) pressing down each snipper in turn manually which should make the other 3 lock. (not sure if this happens in VR but does on my VS)
Good Luck.
