Just move the battery. You will need bigger cable because of the increased length. Also you could connect the battery earth to a convenient spot in the boot area. The +ve will have to be fixed under the floor pan running back to the engine bay. Steer clear of the fuel lines and run it inside a conduit. Do not run the +ve inside of the cabin because if there is a short etc. the cabin will fill with smoke and carpet/plastic will catch fire immediately.
Thats all i can think of now.

just a normal battery box will be fine so long as it is secured to the vehicle and i would run an earth to the block for sure. i had a switch in my vk once that controlled the electric fuel pump, saved the car from theft once(car started up fine and got out the driveway, 1st....2nd....died, walked outside and up the road to where my car was but they ran straight away) which was good but eventually shorted out and set the carpet on fire. Out of curiosity...why would you want to move your battery to your boot for? it was common in pr-emissions control vehicles since it was easier to clear the engine bay. so much shit in these engine bays man, and all needed for roadworthiness
