just wanting to know if this is a common problem
with the temp gauge in a vr commodore
the problem is that the temp needle doesnt move it stays on cold the whole time i have my car running
it will some times move just a slight bit and some days it will move a few lines up but not often 99 percent of the time it stays on cold and so i am wondering how to fix this cause i makes me think how hot is my engine really ...
cheers
No not normal at all. You may find it's 1 of 2 things. the connector on the sender unit is not making contact or the voltage regulator in the cluster has a cracked solder joint in it (but the fuel gauge would normally give trouble to if it is the regulator).
So start with the sendre unit connector.
