    Thumbs down Vr stalling

VR stalls most of time and then at other times runs sweet
have replaced the map sensor still the same
havent had it hooked up for diagnosis
from things i hear and read about these things with VRs it would probably not show up anyway
thought it may be a dirty throttle body............. but why isnt it dirty 100% of the time
HELP this is really a shithouse situation as with most working guys you cant afford to pay a
mechaanic to investigate these things will break ya buying bits for them to try till they accidentally stumble on it preferably sooner than later.
need to short cut this process do it myself hope you guys have the ideas thanks heaps

It may well be the CAS or the DFI unit (most common) or even the ECU on the blink.

The CAS is at the harmonic balancer. The DFI unit is under the coils. ECU inside passengers kick panel

First of all check for fault codes bridge pins 5&6 at the diagnostic connector.
Check for fuel pressure on the fuel rail should be around 3 bars.
Play with the dfi module connector wiggle it around while at idle. this is located under the coils. Also check for weak spark.
Its hard to diagnose when you have a inter-mitten fault.

I too have a VR 95 model wagon that has been stalling on me too. I had my mechanic check it out and as I had been having probs with my throttle body sensor he replaced it hoping this would fix it but it seems that it hasn't.
She would stall when I turn on the steering wheel normally, then just prior to replacing the sensor I was going around a round about and it just cut out on me. Then after having the sensor replaced I had her parked and got out of the car to move something and she cut out again and just the other day I was going through a round about and all of a sudden she cut out again. The car had been running for atleast 5 mins before it stalled.
Any suggestions or help? I am considering taking her up to have the computer check but I too feel that it may not show anything. Could it be a electrical issue, I do know she seems to be shuddering is probably the best way to describe it when she comes to a stop sometimes (like the engine is trying to correct itself).
I hope someone could help shine some light on this problem for me
