Sounds like the car is in Limp Home Mode (LHM)....check for fault codes Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised) and also check the colour of the trans oil - if it's black and smells burnt you may be up for a new transmission. (I presume it's auto?)

    fault codes 23 32 76 and 78

Code 23 - Mass Air Temp Sensor (MAT) high voltage

Code 32 - Manifold Air Flow Sensor

Code 76 - Air/Fuel ratio variation between left and right banks

Code 78 - Air/Fuel ratio variation between left and right banks

anybody know how i can fix these im guessing 23 and 32 will need new sensors ?

02 sensors are in each exhaust pipe at the back of the engine, MAF sensor is in the air intake pipe just after the airbox.

Before you go replacing sensors, try clearing the codes and then drive for a day or so and see if any fault codes are logged.

when it turns itself off does it stumble at all or just straight off? Could be fuel filter, have you changed the o2 sensors, should fix code 76
