Vs Handbrake Assembly Install Cost

Hey there, anyone know how much it would cost to install a handbrake assembly into a vs?

Kmart Auto said 300 bucks then another Kmart says 65 bucks lol, go figure. Just wondering what anyone else has paid for the service. Im not a DIY Type person,

I just love to drive cars not fix em, that's what a Mechanics for right lol. I do no some basics of course like check oil and water haha.

so second hand one at 65 is cheap or is that just an adjustment?

I can only guess the first one quoted parts and labour and the second only labour??? I'm assuming your ratchet is worn out so you're fiting a new handbrake lever assembly? No idea on new cost, but the last second hand one I bought from my wrecker was $25. Fitting should take no more than 40mins.

Whats actually wrong? Handbrake not holding the car, level damaged, or brake shoes worn?
