my vs wagon stalls after ive been drivening it for 5 to 10 mins then it takes bout 10 to 20 mins before it will start again ive replaced the cas fuel pump and coil pack is there something that im missing can someone give me some more info
have you checked for error codes? Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)
Did you replace the DFI module Board under the coil packs?
yes it was with the coil pack from a vt
I would have said replace the cas but you have done that
it sounds like a problem caused from heat , after 5 - 10 minutes heating up then stalling
and after about 20 minutes its cooled enough to start it
have you done anything or changed anything on the engine just before the problem started
yes i replaced the radeater as the old one was blocked
i had the same problem when i had my vp i replaced the cas and it worked for a day then the same thing happened replaced everthing else after that and sure enough found out i had a faulty cas. Replaced it again and it never missed a beat after that. So you may have a faulty cas.
Ive seen cheap brand new CAS's cause similar problems. If you cant find the cause of the problem, try another CAS just to be sure its working fine.We got caught out like this ages ago, fitted a new cheap brand CAS,and still no go,spluttering and stopping etc. Then after a day of stuffing around looking for causes,we fitted another spare CAS,and the car went perfect. The new cheap ebay CAS was faulty.Ive heard of another similar story too with another brand new CAS being faulty,it too was a cheapie from ebay or where ever.
Not sure if there the same with ecotecs but in my vp after my harmonic balancer shit itself i didn't change the crank angle sensor..and after driving about 20 mins if would cough and splatter..i just poured water on the harmonic balancer and crank angle sensor
I'd try another CAS. My mechanic tells me they get defective ones all the time.
What is a CAS?
Where abouts do I find the CAS?

the big pulley down the bottom of the engine.
the wires that seem to go into a plug behind it are plugged into the cas.
to change the cas you have to remove the balancer.
if you are taking the balancer of then have a good look at it for damage.
If it is looking old and cracked then save yourself a big job and a fright later and change whiledoing cas.
you will need the crank shaft seal either way.
We ALL HAVE 1 THING IN COMMON:THE RELENTLESS PURSUIT OF GRIP
Thanks will try that.
