get it done properly mate, a set of super lows will set you back around 150 second hand and should keep you happy with the height.

    do it properly mate.
it will handle better, look better and feel better.
doing it a dodgy way will only void your insurance and could cause an accident or something.
you would be surprised on a deal you can get with shocks and springs.
jump on ebay or the forsale thread on this forum, there are deals everywhere.

    +1 for doing it properly

My older brother and his mate thought it would be good to cut the springs in his vs
cruising at 90k's car swerved in front of them had to change lanes quick and spring popped out,
car ended up locking up and rolling 3 times...
On ebay im looking at a set of Ultra Lows (Prob To Low For You) but get Super Lows
and there like $600 yeh its exspensive but rides heaps better and hadles better
for springs and shocks to suit

dont compromise your saftety mate, or the safety of other motorists, if you cant afford to do it properly and it aint broke, dont fix it. i always thought lowering a ute kind of makes them impractical anyway...... just my thoughts

lowering a ute does not make it inpractical at all.
my ute is lowered all round to a "practical" height.
i can still fit two full size motorbikes in the back, a boot load of crap and camping gear and still do some gnarly roads into my property.
have you seen the height of a stock vs ute? they look like they have a lift kit in them.

get on ebay and youll be able to find some packages with 4 king springs, 2 front struts and 2 rear shocks all monroe gt sport, will be around $600 give or take. More than likely your shocks will be shot anyway so replacements will be worth the money. Mine is on ultra lows probly too low but watever i like it.

    Hey Glenn.Jonnii

Thanks for the replies dudes - appreciate it.

I have had a heap of help from a guy on the forums "VP Bomb" - the guy really knows his shit. I don't want to push the friendship with this guy - so I might try some of the what you have suggested.

    Cheers
