Hey guys I have a problem with my car, I cracked the timing cover and replaced this now the motor seems to struggle to turn over even by hand. It does turn but not easily, starter turns it over maybe twice before giving up? Is it possible to have done harmonic balancer up to tight so its hitting timing case? I havnt touched anything else since last drive
Any help would be great

nar can't do the ballancer up to tight, sounds like somethings not right, unfortunatly you might have to go back and check everthing, was everything in order before you put the cover back on? How'd the old timing cover crack or where?

Remove balancer and turn it over.
If its still tight, pull the next bit off.
And so on, and see if it frees up.

It might just be a weak or half flat battery.Turn the headlights on to high beam, and try to start it,do the headlights go dim or go out completely, try it and see what it does and let us know..You could try using jumper leads and another battery connected up with yours.Take note of how good it winds over then.

I agree with brett. Sounds like the battery.

Check its done up right and that the strap to the starter is good.
