Hi all,
just wanted to know which type automatic gearbox was fitted to a vs v8? was it the same as v6?
so it was the same as the v6?
As far as I know the internals are the same however I believe the bellhousing is different. As the bellhousing is not a removable or swappable part you can only match a v8 trans to a v8 and a v6 trans to a v6. I'm not 100% sure on that though so hopefully some one else can confirm or not
1. 1990 VN Exec V6
2. 1993 VP BT1 3.8L - Now wrecking for parts!
3. 1991 VP Berlina V8 - RIP
Looking for a good condition VN - VS V8!!!
V8 uses the Chev bolt pattern and the V6 uses the buick, or vise-versa (i have the correct way posted here somewhere)
no not a direct bolt
