Looking at buying a V8 vs which has a possible head hasket issue. Mixing water in oil.
Now, with the v6 usually the issue is the inlet manifold gaskets and not the head gaskets, but, are the v8 motors like this too, do they usually blow inlet manifold gaskets, or are head gaskets quite possible on these??
I dont have much knowledge on the v8 motors as Ive always had the v6 buicks and ecotecs.
Wat else is common for these to start mixing water and oil?
Corrosion through the timing cover IF the previous owner didn't keep up the coolant, it will eventually corrode behind the water pump.
the only other possibilitys would be corrosion in the heads or cracked block
I hope that helps.
