VS Level 3 dash questions

Hi all just a couple of questions.
I have a lvl 3 dash in a VS Calais.
Does the computer retain the milage reading or is it retained in the dash cluster itself?

Also the Tacho on my level 3 dash is out by quite a bit, (I think it's still a 6cyl tach, as the car was previously a S/c v6 & was converted to V8 by previous owner).
Can the tacho be adjusted by tunning the computer, or does it need to be replaced?

KM's are stored in the cluster.

Im not 100% but i think the tacho will need a certain resistor.

KMs are stored in the trip computer part of the cluster and can be swapped if you get a replacement cluster. The tacho requires a 220k resistor and 2 others need to be moved to convert to a V8 tacho.

Got a level 3 cluster with V8 tach if you rinterested?
You can just swap the tacho out into yours.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind as i've got to replace the instrument cluster for the wifes VR 5lt now.
I just need to check a couple of things on her dash before I organise one.
