was just putting it all back together today when i realised a few things
1. everything works well dash wise except when i indicate... it indicates twice as fast and also sets off the fuses making them rattle and a long beep noise
2. the car doesnt seem to fire up either :S so not sure if the dash upgrade has effected this or just because the car has been sitting in the garage for a while
please help cheers![]()
Have you disconnected the engine loom plug to fit the ECU wire (yellow black)
Also check that the 3 dash plugs are up the correct way

if you have a spare hazard light button, try swapping it.also check your indicator bulbs aren't blown. Also what Green said(way of mine was upside down, and beeped and stuff)..

mmm kk... ill have to look at the dash plugs tomoz fair sure their all up the right way :S and with the black and yellow wire all i did was dissconnected it from its original loom and plugged it straight into my body loom ( was the what i was ment to do ??? ) indicator bulbs work fine to![]()
The loom plugs should have pink black wire top left on the left and middle plug and orange white top left on the right plug (except for the speed alert looms that have a light green wire in the left plug and then the pink black)
What loom have you installed? if it's a level 3 loom then you will have issues with the lights as they are wired differently to the L1 &L2 looms. The A/C is also wrong with the executive cars as they dont have climate control in the cars as the Calais has.

ok i might have to pull them apart tomoz and check it out hopefully its that easy
um its one from a vr clubbie so guessing its a lvl 3 loom
The only time it effected the starting for me was I forgot to plug the engine loom back in after fitting the yellow black wire into the plug.
The HSV L3 looms are a L2 with the 4th plug grafted into it factory style. So it should be OK if you have plugged it in the same way it came out of the HSV car.
