hi everyone, just wondering if a VR engine would fit into a VS and if its just a drop in and go method or if there is alot of work involved
Physically, yes, but the wiring, pcm management and bcm etc. is all different and would also need to be changed. HOWEVER, this would not be legal and pass any inspection etc as you cannot put an older commodore motor in a newer body. It must be replaced with an engine option that was available in the vs body or alternatively a newer motor with engineering etc. Basically you're best off to replace it with another ecotec V6
And exhaust, fuel lines and VS motors cost about the same VR ones so doesn't make financial sense.
