Hey Guys,
Just wondering if the series 3 statesmans had the long rank tank 75lt as standard and is there anyway to tell what size it is from looking at the car without having to take it off.
Any suggestions would help.
Thanks
i think the long range tanks were 90L, if you post a pic of it someone will be able to tell you, it's fairly obvious they hang down loads more than the standard tanks..

Holden VS service manual CD says:
Fuel tanks for VS Series Models carry over from VR Series II models with the introduction of quick connectors at the fuel rail to fuel tank lines.
On Statesman and Caprice models, the standard fuel tank is 75 litres capacity.
On sedan models other than Statesman and Caprice, with V6 engine the standard fuel tank is 63 litres capacity. V8 sedan models have a 75 litre fuel tank as standard.
Utility models have a 64 litre fuel tank mounted below the front tonneau floor. Removable covers behind the front right hand seat allow access to the fuel feed and return unions at the tank, the level gauge and the electrical connectors of the in tank mounted pump.
Station Wagons have a 68 litre capacity fuel tank for V6 and V8 engines.
An optional 75 litre capacity long range fuel tank is available only for sedans.
Vn 5L were 90L I believe.
